Today, 27 September, we say goodbye with deep sadness to Ernest Felipes, skipper of Tanjaoui, of the Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club, and a much-loved member of the Interclubs del Estrecho fleet.
A fine sailor and a wonderful person, Ernest is part of our racing history and will live on in the memories of those who shared so many days at sea with him. His name and that of Tanjaoui will always be linked to this fleet, where starting lines, mark roundings and gatherings ashore bring people together and build lasting friendships.
Today, it is hard to imagine the next start without him. We will treasure the memories, the friendship and the privilege of having sailed alongside him.

Hoy, 27 de septiembre, despedimos con profunda tristeza a Ernest Felipes, patrón del Tanjaoui, del Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club, y una persona muy querida en la flota del Interclubs del Estrecho.
Gran regatista y gran persona, Ernest forma parte de la historia de nuestras regatas y del recuerdo de quienes compartieron con él tantas jornadas en el mar. Su nombre y el del Tanjaoui estarán siempre unidos a esa flota en la que, entre salidas, balizas y encuentros en tierra, se construyen amistades que perduran.
Hoy cuesta imaginar la próxima salida sin él. Nos queda el cariño, los momentos compartidos y la suerte de haber coincidido en el agua.
Desde StraitMagazine enviamos nuestro más sincero pésame y un fuerte abrazo a su familia, amigos, tripulación y compañeros del Royal Gibraltar Yacht Club.
